But this time it was a practical class!!She gave me the soft dough and asked me to make the roti.It looked simple in theory class but its not.I mixed it with a little amount of water,oil,onions and methi leaves.It looked like this.So colourful right?? It was a bit sticky in nature.
Then I made it into small balls,we usually make for roti.Then I tried to spread it like a roti.I got weird shapes.My mom was making fun of me.She exclaimed "You are a born artist,you are making world map with the dough !!". I kept quite because I had no other option there...Then I put it on a tawai with medium flame and cooked it.
After making two rotis, I was completely exhausted and was feeling hungry.So I took those two rotis in my plate for dinner.The taste was good,but shape was really bad.Still I felt proud of myself when I ate the first piece of it.Because this classic methi roti is an all time favourite of all my cousines and now I made them.....!!!
These are my wonderful methi rotis.It was served with a kind of rajma beans curry which was tasty and spicy,ofcourse cooked by mom.So it was a memorable Sunday evening...!!!
